2012 Forecast and Feng Shui tips

Last year Mina predicted earthquakes in Japan, disharmony and conflict of economies. The facts were: Japan had one of the biggest earthquakes in April 2011 and many companies experienced conflict and dispute. For example: the major Australian airline Qantas grounded its entire fleet in Oct 2011, due to industrial conflict. It cost millions of dollars.

1. The annual flying star and li chung Ba Zi:

The annual feng shui analysis and forecast are based on the annual star chart, period chart and the Li Chung Ba Zi (the elements of the grand duke Water Dragon).

The earth is turning constantly, one year has past, the new year is arriving. The flying star of 2012 has reformed to a new pattern, and it is different to the previous year.

Year 2012 is a water dragon year, from the 4th February 2012 to 3rd February 2013. The Grand Duke Jupiter (god of the year) is the Rabbit, and its direction is SE. (From 112.5 to 127.5 degree on the compass.)

The four pillars of Li Chung (spring festival), also called Li Chung Ba Zi:

The five elements in the chart are unbalanced, the domineering element is wood, then earth, then water, metal, with the fire element missing. Based on the theory of five elements birth and destructive cycle, metal cutting wood, wood conquers the earth.

2012 is a water dragon year. Reviewing history, dragon year always has a lot of ups and downs. It often appears more emotionally unstable than the facts actually indicate. The last dragon year was 2000. People feared that 2000 would be the end of the world, there was a big fuss about Y2K millennium bugs-- fears that computer could not shift from 1999 to 2000. It came and went without much of a whimper because of adequate planning and analysis of the situation. There is a motion picture “2012” and some prophecies predict that the world will end in 2012. However, from feng shui perspective, while 2012 will not be peaceful it will not be the end of the world.

Based on the elements and the flying stars of 2012, danger and opportunities will co-exist. Some people will go down, some people will go up, some will be up and down. Below is the forecast for 2012.

2. General Global Outlook

According to the positions of the nine flying stars, China is affected by an inauspicious star, the country will have a lot of domestic issues. There will be disease and natural disasters. Economic growth will slow down. China will focus on domestic growth and macro. It is not a good idea for other country to over-rely on China’s demand and purchasing.

Japan experienced earthquakes last year, the economy went down. This year, with the help of a lucky star, the country will have a better year. This year the country will try hard to recover from the damage and move on.

Africa, South America, India need to watch out for conflicts, their economies are in recovery with small growth. Some new diseases may arise.

The American economy will move forward and backward and experience difficulties. However, there will be some new opportunities. The property market will be better this year.

Europe is affected by a robbery star, there is corruption, some countries and big companies will go broke. The European economy will be in recession.

South East Asia, such as Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia are influenced by an unlucky star, there will be some natural disasters, such as tsunamis. Travellers should watch out where they are going.

3. Australian Economy

Australia is the biggest country in the southern hemisphere, it is affected by lucky and unlucky stars, the year ahead will be good and bad.

Northern territory, South Australian, and Victoria will be suffer arguments and conflict. Economic growth will slow. The Western Australian mining industry will continue improving. Queensland will do well in the farming, mining and property aspects. NSW in 2012 will be affected by unlucky stars --the Misfortune and Grand Duke. Some companies will down size or close, more people will lose their jobs. This year, there will be more news about men. There will be more senior males who will come to attention. Central Australia will do better this year.

Due to the conflict between the wood and earth elements, there will be more competition amongst companies; more people will fight for the same piece of cake.

In 2012 the lucky elements are fire and earth, therefore, the industries related to these elements will have a better year ahead. Such as chemistry, restaurants, electronics, telecommunications, computers, high tech industries and jewellery etc.

The unlucky elements of the year are wood and water, the industries relating to these elements will have a bad year ahead. such as: education, clothing, medical, textile, furniture, transportation, water, travel, etc. Finance, banking industries will have a weak year. The stocks relate to fire, and earth element will increase, those relating to wood and water element will decrease.

Property belongs to the earth element, earth is one of the lucky elements of the year, therefore property prices will be stable. The demand for property remains strong. The market favours medium price housing. The Queensland property market will move up.

4. Health

In year 2012, the black star 2 falls into the North, this star represents illness, and it will bring health problems to this sector. In the Ba Gua, south relates to young man, and the middle son of the family. As such, the young men should be more careful with their health.

With the fire element missing in the Li Chung chart, this will results in general health problems relating to the blood system, heart, eyes, and nerves.

5. Feng Shui tips for 2012:

The lucky directions in 2012 are: west, north east, east, and centre. A very unlucky direction is south east. The less unlucky directions are: south, north, east and south west.

The enhancements and remedies for residential and commercial properties according to the yearly flying star:

Problem areas:

1. SE: In the year 2012, Five Yellow is flying into the South East grid. According to the ancient Chinese feng shui text book Five Yellow is one of the most unlucky stars, and brings great misfortune and sickness. The Grand Duke of the year is also in the SE, therefore, the SE section of the house/office has negative energy. People should avoid working, sleeping in this sector at all cost. This sector should be kept neat and it is only good for storage. To combat this bad energy, put six ancient Chinese coins on SE wall. Avoid any red coloured objects in this area and a place pot of live bamboos to help decrease the bad energy. Keep this area quiet, don't watch TV in this area. Avoid any earth breaking or construction in SE of your property. Disturbing Tai Shui will cause serious negative results.

2. North: Black star two falls into the north. This is very inauspicious, symbolizing illness and financial loss. Try to avoid sleeping or working in this area. Hang six ancient Chinese coins, a metal bell and a 'Fu Lou' in the ceiling, and put a tank with two black fish in this sector to remedy this.

3. SW: Number three is flying into the SW area. This symbolizes troubles, fighting, robbery, lawsuits and financial loss. Put red decorations in this area, such as a red floor mat or three red objects to deplete the negative energy.

4. NW: Star seven is flying into the NW. Star seven has the name Broken Soldier, it is the faded prosperity in period eight, and it relates to robbery and sex scandals. This year, there will more scandals about old men and young women. To remedy such bad energy, you can put a blue object or blue floor mat in NW, a jar of salt water can also help to improve the energy.

5. South: The annual three killings are in the south sector. The white star one is also falling in this area, star one associates with romance and travel, authority and new beginnings. This area is good for people who are seeking a partner. The three killings refer to the troubles with work, relationships and health. Therefore, you should treat this area with caution. Avoid facing north, sitting south all the time. To balance the energy in the south sector, you can put a pot of green plant and a pair of QiLin in the south, facing north.

Lucky areas:

6. NE: Purple star nine is falling into the NE, this star relates to future prosperities and happy events, therefore it is a lucky star. To activate the positive energy, you can put some crystals and a water feature in this area.

7. Centre: White Star Six is flying into the centre. Star six represents prosperity and wellness. This star was prosperous in period six, but it has faded in period eight. This star also relates to Travel Horse, favourable for travel, movement, migration, and changes. To balance the energy, you will need to put red, orange, brown carpet/rug in this area to enhance the energy.

8. West: White Star Eight is flying into the west sector. Star Eight represents current prosperity, and it is the ruling star of period eight. Therefore, the west area is the luckiest area of 2012, you should keep this area clean and open to enable the energy to circulate. You can put a bright light, keep this area well lit, and decorate this area with yellow, gold to enhance the star.

9. East: The Star Four Green is flying into the east. Four Green rules the luck of academic achievement, writing, and literature work. If you wish to improve your ability in this area, then you can study/work in this area, and put four bamboos in a vase in this area to enhance the star. You can also put a red/pink crystal to help improve the luck.

Note: The annual flying star is best to use in conjunction with the period star and the flying star of the premises.
